FRIENDS ACROSS THE BORDER
Friends Across the Border is a Lions District 4L-5 project dedicated to assisting our needy neighbors across the border
with vision exams, glasses, medical equipment, clothing, computers, and good will.
Working with fellow Lions Clubs in Mexico we visit Tecate on the second Saturday of each month to give vision exams and
dispense glasses. We also deliver medical supplies, computers, and other donated items.
The fourth weekends of April and October we travel to K-57, located 57 kilometers south of Mexicali. Working with the
Lions from K-57 we arrive on Friday evening and setup at the local school, and see patients on Saturday and Sunday.
